Tip of the Week

Happy Tuesday, CQ Press!

With Earth Day being just around the corner (April 22), a lot of you are probably asking how you can support green initiatives at the office beyond just recycling, turning off lights, and reusing kitchen supplies.

GREEN TIP: Do you drive? You can also help the Environment and Aesthetics Committee by taking some of the plastic bags from the recycling bins to your neighborhood Safeway or Giant! These bins are found in both break rooms and the pantry and are overflowing with plastic bags that are just waiting to be recycled! Just grab a bunch when you remember and drop them off on your way home! (The recycling bins at the grocery stores are usually just inside the main set of doors.)

Sustainably yours,
Your friendly neighborhood Environment and Aesthetics Committee
Fun Fact: About 700 grocery bags can be made from one 15-year-old tree; an average supermarket uses 700 bags in under one hour.
